About Us
I'm Marcy LaBella (aka) BellaMarcella a lifelong resident of Connecticut, USA. I am a teaching artist and I live with my husband and managerie of pets in rural Connecticut. I have been making art of all kinds for as long as I can remember. Currently I work in the mediums of mixed media painting, ceramics and metalsmithing.
I am currently teaching at The New Britain Museum of American Art and also teach for two other fabulous non-profit art centers in Connecticut. At Wesleyan Potters in Middletown, CT where I am also a key member, I teach Ceramic Sculpture and belong to the co-operative guild. I am faculty member at The Guilford Art Center in the shoreline town of Guilford, CT where I teach all media childrens art classes and workshops for adults. I am a member of the Connecticut Women Artists an old and respected juried art association.
While I am deeply involved in developing my own work, I love teaching, as I think I learn so much by engaging with my adult and young students as they learn the process of artmaking. I am very committed to working with community based art programs for both children and adults.
I am represented by the Wesleyan Potters gallery shop and the Mill Gallery Shop at Guilford Art Center. I occasionally sell through other galleries where I exhibit my work and my work is available online. If you see a piece you are interested in please feel free to message me.
Namaste
Marcy
